About Miria

For over 25 years, Miria has helped digitally transform businesses through intelligent automation. We have a proven pedigree in document capture, content management and workflow. Our expertise has evolved from the original FileNet and Datacap products to the full IBM Digital Business Automation bundle as it’s known today.

We focus upon automating document intensive processes with repetitive data input or tasks.

We specialize in Accounts Payable Automation for organizations across all industries who process anywhere from 5,000 to 500,000+ invoices per month.

Our Partnership with IBM

Miria has a longstanding alliance with IBM. We are currently an IBM Gold Business partner, IBM Embedded Software Agreement (ESA) Partner and certified IBM Digital Business Automation (DBA) Expert. Our knowledgeable and seasoned pre-sales, sales and support team has earned a reputation as a partner who’s easy to work with and one who can drive opportunities to close.

Our Joint Solution

Miria's Intelligent Business Automation Solution, ActiveOps, is built upon IBM's industry-leading
Digital Business Automation Platform.

Core ActiveOps functionality Includes:

ActiveOps also provides optional, add-on applications including management of Expenses, Use Tax, Vendors and Requisitions among several others.

When We Win, You Win

ActiveOps is tightly tied to the IBM DBA stack. Any time Miria sells ActiveOps, it requires the presence of IBM DBA product. As a result, when Miria sells our solutions, IBM reps get credit.

This occurs whether IBM product is sold through Miria's Embedded Solution Agreement (ESA) with IBM or when IBM reps sell direct to clients to support Miria’s solutions.

Understanding ESA & Transaction-Based Pricing

As part of Miria's ESA, we can offer clients a transaction-based pricing model. This means that for every document processed (e.g. invoices) by a client using Miria's solution, a transaction fee will be charged by IBM to Miria against which IBM reps get credit.

Clients like the transactional model because there's no large, up-front capital investment, they can have unlimited users and they pay only for what they use.

IBM reps benefit from ESA's recurring stream against actual client usage on a monthly basis for the duration of the contract as long as they own the account. From a volume perspective, it is not unusual for a Miria client to process transactions in the hundreds of thousands per month.

A Solution for Multiple Industries

Miria’s client portfolio aligns well with IBM’s target industries and accounts. Our focus is directed toward mid-large enterprises and our horizontal solutions span many industries. We have clients in financial services (e.g. Fifth Third Bank, Comerica Bank, SEI, Old Republic Title), distribution and retail (e.g. Cabelas, Cargill, Veritiv, Beverage Distribution Center, Inc.), industrial (e.g. Harcros, Portland General Electric, Basin Electric), logistics (DHL, Veritiv), public sector (e.g. Virginia Dept. of Taxation, City of Jackson) and healthcare (e.g. Horizon Blue Cross of NJ, Tennessee Rural Health) among others.

Our Value Proposition

Studies have revealed the majority of enterprises (56%) still process invoices manually.  And those who have digitized invoices have not necessarily automated their processes.  Given the industry average cost to process a single invoice can range upwards to $19, there’s a demonstrable ROI to be realized through automation (e.g. best in class automation can reduce this cost to < $2).

Miria and IBM are well-positioned to win in this market:

  • Miria’s 25-year, proven pedigree in document capture, content management and automation
  • Our exceptional workflow expertise
  • We leverage IBM’s industry-leading automation platform
  • Specialized, flexible solutions and pricing (e.g. cloud-based, pay only for what you use)
  • Strong client references across multiple industries
  • Miria’s financially sound, backed by global parent in OSG (osgbilling.com)

Working with Miria

For accounts payable automation opportunities, Miria interfaces with the Finance organization. Typical contacts include CFOs, CAOs (Chief Accounting Officers), Controllers and/or VP/Directors of Accounts Payable. IT contacts generally play a supportive role in the sales process.

Miria does not expect IBM reps to sell our solutions, however it helps to recognize an opportunity. Miria can provide IBM the education and guidance it takes to identify likely prospects.

When IBM identifies a prospect, we recommend bringing Miria early into the process for best success.
